Helen Atkinson (vocals and synth)

In a musical world dominated by men, a girl has to be somewhat special to stand out from the crowd. Helen has a voice to compliment any song and a personality to light up any stage. Her grace and charm give ALCHEMY just a touch more glitter and the versatility that their audiences love.

Stix Christie (drums)

Stix has been playing drums since he was knee high to a grasshopper. He’s gigged since the tender age of 12 and toured the UK and Europe with various outfits and name artists playing diverse styles of music from Hard Rock, Jazz, Progressive Rock to Pop, Country and everything in between. His driving rhythms and great feel keep ALCHEMY’s heart beating across the range of musical styles.

David Giles (vocals and guitar)

David performed his first gig at the age of 13. Since then he’s travelled the world entertaining audiences with his fine voice. He’s performed for royalty and presidents and alongside The Beatles and Tom Jones. From Wembley Stadium to Madison Square Gardens, from The London Palladium to Hong Kong’s City Stadium, David has delighted fans of good music, as he will for the audiences of ALCHEMY.

Johnny Hardcastle (guitar)

Starting in the music business playing in venues across the North of England, Johnny soon graduated to the bright lights of London’s Prog Rock music scene, working with a major label and along with the likes of Procol Harum & Jethro Tull. He honed his musical skills with a wide variety of bands plus radio work for Paul Jones, King Ivory and Charlie Speed. Johnny returned to his native Yorkshire to provide solid support to the band with his professional musicianship.-

Brian Cook (keyboards and vocals)

Brian has been involved in music throughout his career. He’s worked as session musician and rehearsal pianist for a record label, as a BBC producer of music programmes on Radios 1, 2, 3 & 4, as a programme controller of commercial radio stations, as a composer of songs and jingle packages and as a musical director in theatre. Brian adds a wide range of piano, organ and synthesiser sounds to ALCHEMY’s extensive repertoire.

Dr Dave (vocals and bass)

Dave has been performing at venues across the North for many years. As founder member of cult Leeds band, Luigi Ana Da Boys, he played on their classic LP ‘Feeling the Ceiling’ in 1978. As well as playing in bands such as Rapid Pips and This Sporting Life, he’s performed solo over the last 25 years. Dave’s great voice and driving bass-lines combine to provide ALCHEMY with a little more magic.
